Three Legged Max

July 12 of 12

 So, it's July 12 and I actually get to post my pictures on the 12th!  I love having internet again!  Mom didn't do much today, so the posts are pretty much all about me.

12:34am--No random crap for Mom.  Sold out before her slow computer could get her there.  Their servers were messing up, as well.

7:21am--This is how a tripod eats breakfast.  Yum!

7:40am--Back to bed.  I'm sleepy!

7:43am--Mom!  Stop with the pictures!

6:41pm--Checking out Chad's page and watching tv.

7:58pm--There are cars parked all along our street because of the village festival.  I keep barking at all the people walking by.  It's fun!

8:00pm--You can't really tell, but I'm chasing a lightning bug.

8:01pm--Just laying around and relaxing now.

8:03pm--Mom's scar is healing well, but it seems she's going to have to have another surgery--this time to cut out a piece of cartilage and then shorten a bone in her arm.  Ouch!

8:08pm--Still lounging.

9:57pm--Now I'm lounging indoors!  It's been a lazy day.

     

 

10:03pm--Playing Virtual Villagers.  Mom also has been playing Hell's Kitchen.

  

  

June 12 of 12

 First of all, guess whose mom brought home the internet today!!!  MINE!  Now we can post all those pics you've been waiting for!

12:34pm--Check out Mom's great tan/burn lines from the super-sexy cycling shorts!

 

3:58pm--The lovely view from Mom's office.

 

4:20pm--Mom realizes she hasn't taken many pictures yet and it's already 4 in the afternoon!  Prepare for boring pictures!

4:53pm--Check out the new slatwall in the Gait Room.

 

4:56pm--Mom says this is a bad price for gas.  The only gas I know about it the smelly kind that Mom scrunches her nose at.

5:05pm--Mom is at Culver's getting dinner.

5:07pm--What's a ButterBurger?

5:08pm--Ooh, Mom's number 51.  Is that like being Miss Puerto Rico?

5:09pm--Check it out!  Mom's scar is healing pretty well.

5:22pm--Boo!  The flowers with the giant ants!

  

5:38pm--Check out my butt.  Isn't it cute?

6:21pm--Mom still hasn't unpacked from AIDS/LifeCycle.  She's pretty exhausted.

Still have no home internet. .  . so I'm a bit late in posting, but they are all from May 12.  Sorry!

7:04am--Mom's in the shower, so I'm keeping her spot warm for her. . . just in case she wants to go back to bed.

7:22am--Mom decided not to go back to bed.  She's on her way to work.  This is the wheel she almost ran over the other day when she loaded the bike back into the car and forgot to load the wheel!  Did I mention that she still hasn't raised her minimum for AIDS/LifeCycle?  Feel free to help her out by going to www.aidslifecycle.org/1807 

8:06am--The new computer monitor at Mom's work.  And. . . Mom's sick.  Yuck.  Little did she know at this point just how yucky she'd feel later in the week!

12:37pm--Mom decided to let you all know the price of gas in her area.

3:41pm--Mom took a picture of the strange Batman type symbol on the back door of her work.

4:52pm--A foot on the counter at Mom's work.  How interesting.

5:31pm--Uh oh!  Mom came home to livingroom and dining room full of MegaPoop!  Somebody had a poopfest and it wasn't me!  Luckily, I'm in my crate all day, so Mom knew it wasn't me.  It was actually Happiness. . . she'd gotten into a plant and eaten lots of soil (don't worry, it had no unnatural junk in it) and it was pretty obvious that the soil-like poop was hers.  Mom didn't think you'd like to see the actual poop, but this is what she collected (in her biodegradable poop bag)!

6:28pm--Ozzie is hanging out in Mom's room. 

7:22pm--Mom was desperately trying to find something for Red Dress Day, but couldn't find much that was actually red. . . just stuff with some red.  She tried again this weekend, but finally gave up.  Red Coke jersey, it is!

7:45pm--Mom's reading the ALC mailer she got today. 

8:50pm--Mom and I are watching House on tv.  He's such a jerk!

10:56pm--How I could resist posting this?  Mom says it's funny.  Apparently, it's part of a White Castle commercial where this guy ditches his duties as a department store employee to go get some White Castle burgers and the mannequins all fall into this position.  Hee!

April 12 of 12

Mom was so excited earlier in the week when she realized this month's 12 of 12 was a Saturday.  A 52 mile AIDS/LIfeCycle training ride was planned for today, but due to snow and rain it was cancelled.  So, while Mom is bummed both about the training and not getting more "fun" pictures, I am pretty pleased that it means more pictures of me!  Mom says you can still donate to her ride by clicking HERE.  She's still about $1,200 short of the minimum to ride!

8:29am--Isn't Mom's scar healing nicely?

8:50am--Ozzie doesn't look too happy.  Ray took us on a walk and I think Ozzie wanted it to be longer.

11:34am--Mom' bruise is healing nicely, too.  This is from the last training ride (shhh, don't tell Grammy!)

 

2:13pm--Mom trying on clothes at Macy's.  She was taking pictures to send Grammy so she could have a second opinion.

 

6:43pm--Mom posing for the camera.  Look!  A bike jersey hanging on the door in the background!

6:51pm--Sniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiff.  I can smell these through the package.  Mom says they are okay, but very sweet.  She didn't need any today--no cycling.  Darn weather.

 

6:53pm--Aren't I handsome?  I sit pretty when I'm told. 

6:56pm--Ozzie and I are having a Pee-Off!  (I won)

6:58pm--Mom is running out of time and needs to take more pictures so she can go post them before Panera closes (still no home internet).  So. . . here is a picture of the candles on the coffee table.

6:59pm--And the plant that's taking over the house!

7:02--Happy doesn't like to have her picture taken, but Mom snuck one in.

7:18pm--This is where Mom now has to use the internet.  It's okay, but there's no immediate gratification like there used to be.  She can't just look up random info as she pleases anymore :(

12 o' 12 March

Hi everyone!  Mom's been having internet trouble this week so weren't able to post our 12 of 12 on the 12th!  But today we've managed to get online long enough to post it!

12:24am--Mom's bike. . . still in the bedroom.  The handlebars are down so she can see the tv from her bed.  You can still donate to her bike ride by going HERE.

7:27am--Mom's new brace!

7:28am--the elbow.

7:30m--Is it really time to get up?

7:40am--Shutting down to go to work

8:03am--the braced tree.  How appropriate for the office?

9:15am--These are Mom's flowers.  Grammy sent them to her for passing her board exams.  Go Mom!

11:32am--Mom's new long arm socks to wear with the brace.  New socks rock!

4:50pm--Mom's co-worker, Jeff.  He;s doing the stuff she can't til her arm gets better.

4:51pm--Mom goofing around with a below knee prosthesis cuff strap!  Silly Mommy!

6:09PM--Mom's so sleepy.

Hi everyone!  Mom took her 12 of 12 pictures today!  Unfortunately, I'm not in very many because she had to work :(  No fair!  Anyway, here they are!

7:38am--Mom putting on a very important part of her wardrobe.  Look at the bike tire in the background!

7:47am--Gah!  Mom is so tired of the snow!  It's never-ending (but I love it!).

12:05pm--Mom's about to go to lunch.  This is the corner of her desk at work.  The pumpkin is from Grammy.  The cartoon is so very true to her field of work--people are always cooking their lunch in the ovens (meant for plastic).  Oh, and the picture on the binder was painted by her co-worker in Maine.  It's the router that broke her arm.

12:06pm--She hasn't quite made it to lunch yet.  She's taking out some stress with her new stressball, compliments of Otto Bock.

12:59pm--Look!  Mom's home for lunch!  Actually, she's just leaving to go back to work.  That's why I look so upset.  Why can't she just stay home all day?

1:34pm--Mom had some hot chocolate at work.  She said it wasn't very good.

 

6:16pm--This is Mom's ad on Craigslist.  Auntie is moving to Colorado in May, so Mom is looking for a new roommate.  Big dogs welcome!  Anyone need a place to stay in the south suburbs of Chicago?

6:19pm--See the broken "A" key?  Mom can't get it to go back down and stay.  She says it broke a few weeks ago when I decided to walk across her computer. . . I didn't mean to do it, but I heard the postman at the door and had to run and see him!

6:20pm--Mom's taking a picture of herself to fill up the space.  It's in the bathroom.  That's a Reservoir Dogs poster in the background.  Mom says she needs a haircut.

6:21pm--Mom is still trying to take the rest of the pics.  See Happy?  She is in Ozzie's chair.  It came with him.

6:40pm--And this?  Is Mom's bike.  She thinks it looks goofy.  It's now referred to as "The Stag."  It's all "pimped" with the taller stem, handlebars, and bar ends.  It's supposed to help her be able to ride when she has the long arm cast on, so she can keep training for AIDS/LifeCycle 7.  Surgery is set for Monday!  Feel free to check out her Training Blog for updates on the wrist.

7:49pm--The last picture of Mom's wrist before surgery next week.  Wish her luck!

Hi, everyone!  It's once again the time for 12 of 12!  I'm posting  combination of pictures from Mom and me. 

12:04am--Mom took this picture outside the place she went for karaoke with Amanda, her co-worker.  Mom says Amanda sings really well.  Look!  It's Bogart's "Harhouse."  Arrrrr.

8:23am--Mom's getting ready for her doctor's appointment, but she just had to take a moment to take my picture since I was posing so well.  Aren't I handsome?

8:47am--Mom's running late because of the cold.  Frost on the windshield and her key wouldn't go into the lock!

 

11:17am--Mom drove to the forest preserve to ride her bike since today was the first nice snow-free weekend day in a long time.  She's trying to take advantage of every chance she gets to train before next month's surgery.

11:31am--Mom stopped to take a few pictures of the trail.

11:32am--The other direction

2:09pm--We all got to go on a walk!

3:34pm--Back in the car.  Mom's going to find lunch.  This is her bike in the back seat.  She keeps saying she's going to get a bike rack, but you see how well that's worked out. . .

4:54pm--Ozzie and I are trapped in jail. . . or just the dining room.  Auntie bought an eliptical machine and the delivery guys were here.  For some reason, Auntie thought we would get in the way.

8:55pm--Auntie's boyfriend's kids were over this evening.  Mom helped them with their fort by using a cast saw to cut the door open, so they made a flag for her.  We all posed for the picture!

9:16pm--Mom's warming bear.  Doesn't he look comfy?  I'm ready for bed, too!

Hi everyone!  Today I participated in Chad Darnell's 12 of 12, taking 12 pictures of my day.  This month there is a bonus 13th picture based on the word "unexpected."  Hope you all enjoy!

6:54am--Good morning, Homewood!

7:01am--Happy and me on Mom's bed. . . with Mom, too!

10:04am--Now, I'm up for good.  Good thing Mom has the day off!

10:35am--Happy and I get to go outside and play.  Yay!

10:44am--Playing ball!

 

5:50pm (Mom and Grammy went out for a while, so I didn't get to take pictures for a while)--Look!  I snuck a picture of Grammy!

6:03pm--Kisses for Mommy!

6:11pm--I'm lookin' sharp

6:24pm--Happy got the frisbee (and then I stole it).

6:30pm--Ummm, I have no idea how this happened. . .

6:38pm--Just resting on the porch with Happiness.

6:48pm--Now just resting with Grammy pets.  I'm all tuckered out.
