Mom's Birthday!

Yesterday was Mom's 26th birthday.  It went well.  My gift to her was letting her sleep in until 10. . . well, except for that part where she had to let me out to potty around 6am and let me back in to eat breakfast, but I let her sleep after that until 10am.  She had a good birthday.  Auntie had a few friends over to celebrate (that's what they tell me, but I know that they were all here just to see me!!!).  Everybody was in love with me.  Of course, nobody who's ever met me wasn't! 

Saturday Happy and I were being brats.  We made Mom get up at 7 and then barked all morning long.  She tried to go back to sleep, but unsuccessfully stayed in bet for another hour or so before getting up.  She was talking in a gruff voice and giving us dirty looks.  I guess we shouldn't have barked so much, but there was just a lot going on outside and we wanted to let everyone who passed know that we're here.

Oh, and last night Mom found out how much of a chicken I am.  We heard a big thump in the night and when Mom went to investigate I jumped on her bed and stayed back.  We're still not sure what that noise was.  And then there was a storm and I hid under the tv stand.  Mom threw a t-shirt over one side of it so I could effectively hide in the dark.  If it's dark, the storm can't get me!

That's it for tonight.  There really hasn't been much going on lately.

Max...I have heard of scaredy-cats, but I never heard of scaredy-dogs before. You need to work on that. You are supposed to be strong and brave and protect your Mom. Now you remember that! I knew it was your Mom's birthday...I sent her a snail-mail card...also an e-card wishing her a Happy Birthday. But it seems you stole the show at her party. I hope both of you enjoyed it.
